In the late 90’s we quit the rat race, and with our 9 year old son, sailed into the sunset on our 41 foot sailboat, Mirage. Along the way we fell in love with Alaska. We relocated permanently to Seward in 97′. We restored the Historic IOOF building and began with A Swan Nest Inn. We hike, ski, sail, fish, row and absolutely love the outdoor life that Alaska offers. Best of all, we love sharing our passion for Alaska with visitors.
In 2005, I came to Seward for summer work and never left. I fell in love with the mountains and the sea. Every spare moment I am out in the forest or on the water. I’d love to help you plan your time in Seward with advice on hikes, kayaking, boat tours, and many other activities. Please don’t hesitate to ask! I love to cook, and am flexible with gluten free and vegetarian diets during our breakfast hours of 7 am to 9 am.
